“Resurrection” holds a deeply personal place in my journey—it was the first moment I truly understood that painting was not just an activity, but a language I could live through. Before this piece, creativity felt distant, almost abstract, but with every stroke I placed on the canvas, something shifted. It became a quiet awakening, a realization that emotion, memory, and imagination could merge into something tangible. This painting marked the beginning of a relationship that would continue to grow, one rooted in curiosity, vulnerability, and an undeniable pull toward artistic expression.

The painting itself reflects that sense of rebirth and inner transformation. Through layered textures, expressive movement, and contrasting tones, “Resurrection” captures the emergence of something new from within, an energy pushing through uncertainty into clarity. It is less about a literal subject and more about a feeling: the moment of rising after stillness, of finding light within complexity.

Creating it changed me; it gave me direction, purpose, and a profound connection to the act of creation. Even now, it remains a reminder of where it all began and why I continue to paint.
